Young Women's Tailoring Classes
The Sanjeevini Trust tailoring class for young women provides training in hand stitching and use of sewing machines. Each 6 month class has about 10 students who receive individualized training. These classes provide young women with the skills they need to earn their own income for their families. Each student actually sews several articles of clothing during the classes. At the end of the program, some of the young woman receive free sewing machines. In 2018 an additional tailoring class will also be held in a nearby village.
